AMI JUKEBOX

AMI

AMI repairs.,

The Automatic Musical Instrument Company (AMI) started making jukeboxes in 1925,

by the 1950's they had perfected their extremely simple design of record changing mechanism.

and were manufacturing chrome and glass jukeboxes that to this day remain the iconic design copied by others.

The Continental, manufactured in 1962,was the last of the chrome and glass jukeboxes designed by AMI,
styling from all the major manufacturers changed to functional box shapes influenced by the new furniture designs of the 1960's.

by 1968 the designs were functional as can be seen in this Rowe-AMI Cadet.
The Rowe coporation made the AMI mechanisms modern and more economical,
but sadley they are not as easy to repair now as the older AMI designs.
